Yolo Juneteenth is an annual family friendly event to promote and cultivate knowledge and appreciation of African American heritage and history.
We were sad to hear that the UC Davis Cross Cultural Center Black Family Day was canceled due weather this past weekend. So, we are partnering with their team to extend Juneteenth beyond 5pm. So, stay for the After-Hours Party from 5-8pm to see more acts originally scheduled for Black Family Day.
We also added more vendors, so you'll have a greater selection of food and artisan crafts to shop.
April update. The planning is coming together. We will have a great lineup of performers, including having the Grant Union Drum Line back again. Other performers will be Steady Eddy & the Shakers, Sacramento Metropolitan Chapter Gospel Group, Amber Hines, Afro Vibes, and more.
Additionally, Underground Books will be back selling books, and we've confirmed 5 amazing authors. Bryan Patrick Avery, Nikki Shannon Smith, Darrin Bell, Theanne Griffith, and JaNay Brown-Wood. Of course, we will have many other fabulous vendors, including many food vendors.
