My buddy and I did pretty good a few days ago catching some decent smallies, with this one being my biggest. Big fish of the day was a 27ish inch channle that almost pulled to the rod out my hand.

This particular stretch has been producing some quality smallies when the river is at a very specific height. Even after fishing the river for decades, I still learn something new or find a cool new spot.

1st 20 inch smallie this year.

First time throwing the chop shad and I got a solid largemouth.
