This Friday, join us at The Contemporary Dayton for a landmark solo exhibition of recent work by Carolyn Mazloomi, award-winning artist, historian, and founder of the Women of Color Quilters Network, who is widely recognized for elevating African American quilt traditions and showing how quilting can serve as both fine art and historical record.

During the opening public reception from 6:00–8:00 p.m., we will kick off the summerlong exhibition, Threads of History: Quilts by Carolyn Mazloomi, with remarks from Mazloomi as well as a video showcasing her practice. Learn more about this free event here:
