There are just a couple of days left to register for the PA 4-H Virtual Cooking Camp!

Campers will participate in a hands‑on culinary journey where they’ll build kitchen confidence, explore new foods, and create a five‑course meal—one delicious course at a time. Camp will take place from July 20 to 24 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM each day.

This engaging five‑day virtual camp gives participants the chance to prepare a different part of a meal each day:

🧀 Appetizers
🍲 Soup
🥗 Salad
🍝 Entrée
🍰 Dessert

Campers will learn essential kitchen skills, food safety, nutrition basics, table etiquette, and more—all while having fun cooking from home. Adult supervision is required throughout the camp.

On June 28th, the Delaware County 4–H Garden Club visited GreenHorn Gardens in Drexel Hill! Participating members learned about the history of the greenhouse and activities they have throughout the year. 4-H'ers then got to create their own fairy gardens with succulents and other decorations! A big thank you to the gardens for hosting us! 🪴🍀

It's not too late to register for the 2026 PA 4‑H State Presentation and Public Speaking Contests!

Both events will be held virtually on July 22 as two separate contests. Youth are welcome to participate in one or both contests.

The Presentation Contest challenges 4‑H members to demonstrate their skills in planning, organizing, and delivering educational demonstrations. A presentation focuses on a project‑related topic and involves teaching or physically demonstrating how to complete a specific phase of a project. Presentations may be given by either an individual or a team.

The Public Speaking Contest supports county public speaking programs while helping 4‑H members build strong communication skills. This contest focuses on speech content, organization, and delivery.

We'd like to congratulate Ruqayyah, long-time Delaware County 4-H'er, on her recent high school graduation! 🎓

Ruqayyah has spent the majority of her eight years in 4-H focused on sewing and textile projects, building her skills and creating unique, one-of-a-kind items in our 4-H Sewing Club. Her dedication and attention to detail are top notch, and we will miss having her in our program!

Good luck, Ruqayyah, as you pursue pre-med at Thomas Jefferson University in the fall! 🎉
