From shared tables and café counters to food halls across Ford workplaces – from Dearborn to Shanghai, and Chennai to Long Beach – these spaces are designed to bring people together, encouraging connection and collaboration.

At the new Ford World Headquarters, Gallery Hall turns lunch into a shared experience with seven distinct kitchens, while the Hive Café creates space for more casual connections throughout the day.

This past weekend, Mother’s Day offered a meaningful reminder of the importance of supporting moms in every part of life – including the workplace.

At Ford Motor Company, new Mother’s Rooms at World Headquarters and other recently renovated buildings were designed to create fully private spaces centered on comfort, privacy and peace of mind.

Inside, warm materials, dimmable lighting, leather recliners and calming artwork help create a quiet environment, while practical amenities like sinks, refrigerators, microwaves, lockers and bottle washing equipment support the needs of nursing parents throughout the day.

These details are part of a larger wellbeing ecosystem across Ford workplaces, including wellness rooms and reflection rooms designed to provide employees with places for respite, care and support.

Because when a workplace is designed around real human needs, even the smallest details can make a meaningful difference.

Natural light is more than an aesthetic choice – it’s science at work. ☀️

At the newly transformed Ford Motor Company Electric Vehicle Development Center in Long Beach, CA, skylights were strategically added to the warehouse-style ceiling to harness daylight throughout the workspace, supporting focus, mood, and overall employee well-being.
