When an ex reaches out during No Contact, the hardest part is often deciding what the contact means and what to do with it.

A ex reaching out gives you very little information on its own. What matters is what they are saying or asking for, whether you respond, how you respond (if you choose it), and what happens after you respond. You also need to notice whether the interaction helps you think more clearly or leaves you feeling more uncertain.

A contact plan should address what you will do if they reach out. It should define when practical communication is necessary and which conversations you are not prepared to have.

If your ex contacted you tonight, how would you handle it?

You can still love someone, understand why the relationship ended, and have no idea what to do next.

Most breakup advice fails people around this particular post-breakup conflict.

You may be reconsidering No Contact, wondering whether silence is helping, and trying to decide whether another conversation would change anything. If you're like my breakup coaching clients, you're smart enough to recognize that there's a possibility of reconciliation.

You just may not be sure how to measure that possibility, how to maximize that possibility, how to compare and evaluate the possibility of reconciliation against all your other options and potential actions, or how to determine if that possibility is healthy and the right thing to do.

**No Contact, Hope, & What To Do Next** is a four-week guided breakup group for people who want help making these decisions thoughtfully, calmly, and strategically.

We will examine what No Contact and its variations are meant to accomplish, what reaching out would realistically require, and the probability of success of reconnection.

You will not be promised that your ex will return, to make your ex miss you, or reattract your ex. You won't be taught to interpret and hyperanalyze every observation.

However, you will receive direct guidance for evaluating the relationship, your options, and the next decisions in front of you.

You don't have to stop loving them, but you must be willing to look closely at what happened and think seriously about what comes next.

The group begins Wednesday, July 29.

Enrollment is open now. Apply through the link in my bio.

If you’re in the early breakup stage, No Contact is simple in theory, but can be incredibly difficult in reality.

Many of my breakup coaching clients find themselves repeatedly checking social media, rereading old messages, overanalyzing every memory, every interaction, and the silence, and consumed by the thought of reconnection.

Typically by Week 2 post-breakup, friends and family may still care, but their capacity to keep processing the breakup with you often drops. You still need somewhere - in addition to your therapist - to bring the questions, the spirals, and the “what do I do now?” moments.

That's what my 4-week early stage breakup group is for.

No Contact, Hope, & What To Do Next is a 4-week guided group for people who are struggling with contact, emotional withdrawal, hope, and what to do next after a breakup.

Each week includes a short lesson, live Q&A, a weekly action plan, and a private message board for support between calls.

Launching late July.
