MORGAN COUNTY COURTHOUSE AND THREE OTHER OFFICES CLOSED JULY 10 AND JULY 13

DECATUR – Due to continued renovation work, the Morgan County Courthouse will be closed to the public Friday, July 10 and Monday, July 13. Also, the Morgan County Service Center in Hartselle, the Morgan County Service Center East in Cotaco and Morgan County Archives in Decatur will be closed both days.
Electrical power will be shut off at the courthouse so contractors can install equipment.
The offices will reopen at normal time on Tuesday, July 14.

When the air temperature reaches the 90s, asphalt and concrete can heat up to 130–150°F or more. That’s hot enough to burn skin and paw pads in just seconds!

🐾 Protect your pets by walking them early in the morning or later in the evening. If the pavement is too hot for the back of your hand after 7 seconds, it’s too hot for their paws.

👣 Keep little feet protected too! Children walking barefoot on driveways, sidewalks, parking lots, or pool decks can suffer painful burns before they realize how hot the surface is.
