Dolly Parton is among this year's Carnegie Medal of Philanthropy recipients.

In a statement regarding the award selection, Parton said, "Whether through my Imagination Library or giving to COVID-19 research, I try to support things that have a special meaning for me. I hope everyone can find something they’re passionate about supporting and do what they can to help make this world a better place."

Squeak! is a chain-reaction story set in a beautiful, rolling landscape with animals who are all woken up one by one with the rising of the sun. With lush and vivid art, and plenty of fun animal noises on each page, this story is a perfect read-aloud to wake up to--or to read any time of day.

Squeak! is Lincoln’s tenth free book from the Macon County Imagination Library.

If you live in Macon County, your child can join Lincoln, and hundreds of other children, in receiving a free book each month.

Each month, until his fifth birthday, Lincoln will receive an age-appropriate free book mailed directly to his home, and we’ll be right there with him. Lincoln’s reading journey will be chronicled in monthly photos.

It was an awesome morning with our friends at Brinkoetter Realtors, continuing their volunteering in the United Way’s Essential Services Lines of Effort.

Go, Green Tractor, Go!

One-year-old Lincoln just received this eighth book from the Macon County Imagination Library, "Green Tractor."

If you live in Macon County, your child can join Lincoln, and hundreds of other children, in receiving a free book each month.

Here are the dates and titles of books mailed for the month of May!

Group 1 is children born in 2022, group 2 is children born in 2021, and so on. If you are new to the program you will receive a welcome book, and if your child turns 5 this month you'll get a graduation book.

Please be aware it could take a few weeks (or more) for books to arrive at your home. Thanks for your patience!
