Congratulations to all the candidates who won tonight in the election. Thank you to all of the people who voted for me, I appreciate your confidence. Mrs. Ashley congrats to you and thank you for a good race. Let's all do our part to help Bowie continue moving forward.

I've had this question asked a couple of times so thought I would just make a post with how I answered it. "What are some of my new ideas that I would bring to council?"

I am learning about how the city is run, and what is currently in the works, one of the "new" ideas is looking at and working within the budget to increase the money going into the infrastructure account for our roads. It's crazy expensive due the depth it needs to be thanks to the awesome soil that Bowie has.

I want to bring in some fun things to do as well. I want more businesses here. Maybe an arcade, old school systems and some new consoles. I wouldn't mind talking to the parks and rec and seeing what it takes to get some neat things added to our parks even.

Restaurants are big for me too. I want more businesses here. Small business, and local. More work opportunities, more options for the citizens, and more money circulating in Bowie.

Being a libertarian also opens the doors for new ideas, different views, and talking points during council conversations.

As early voting nears I just want to take a moment again and ask for your support. Yes, my colleague has served on council before and has that experience. I however, bring fresh new eyes and ideas and am not looking at Bowie from a quarter of a century ago, but instead looking to the future of Bowie. I am younger, 29 years old, and my family is fairly new here to Bowie, but that ensures you that I am looking to hear from my constituents of all ages, younger and older, to continue to try and make Bowie a place for all ages to call home. Since I am not a long time Bowie resident there is no way anyone could call me part of the "good ole boys club". I am here to serve to help Bowie move forward and to help ensure we leave our future generations a great place to live. I would appreciate your vote.

I have told you all a little about myself in previous posts. Yes I am younger than anyone on the council right now, younger than anyone running, but I have plenty of business and life experience to bring with me. I also believe that I can bring fresh new ideas to the table, things might have worked well years ago, but is there a new way to look at things? Maybe a more efficient effective way? New ideas, fresh thinking and eyes, a new outlook on the future of Bowie. I would appreciate your vote.

I attended the City Council meeting last night. Ever since I announced my candidacy I have felt it has been very important for me to be there and to hear all of the information being shared. Even as citizens, not running for an office, it is very important to stay informed of all the happenings of our city. If you can't attend in person remember that you can watch it online. I am dedicated to learning all I can and I humbly ask for your vote for City Council Pct. 2.
