Introducing the next film of enCore…Ode to Age ⚡️

From director Kati Kallio, the film portrays how wild, free, and beautiful the aging body is, how pointless the fear of wrinkles and skin folds is.

Ode to Age is a dance film about elderly women who have had enough of the colorlessness of life. Together, they take off their everyday clothes and by joyful and undisciplined, throw themselves into the Finnish summer.

Grateful to wrap up another exciting season supporting both local and international artists within our studio space. After the intimate experience of Sarah’s creative process, we can’t wait until next season.

While Core Dance is on a summer break from its regular morning class schedule, we are excited to have Kristin O’Neal teaching a few classes in June!

Film, conversation, and community! ⭐️🎥

Join us tomorrow for an evening of artistic exchange in downtown Decatur featuring the enCore: Dance on Film 2026 Premiere alongside Salon: Artist in Residence with Sarah Turquety.

⏰ From 6-8 PM audiences are invited into the downstairs studio for the enCore: Dance on Film 2026 Premiere. Guests may attend a single chapter (30 minutes) or experience the full four-part screening event.

⏰ Beginning at 6:30 PM in our Decatur Studio alleyway, Sarah Turquety’s Artist in Residence Salon creates space for conversation, reflection, and shared artistic experience.

As part of the LIFT residency program, the Salon invites audiences to engage directly with Sarah’s evolving creative process in an intimate and welcoming environment rooted in dialogue and community connection.
