Online applications to apply to a Magnet School opens Friday, December 1, 2024 and closes on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 11:59p.m.

Part of the application process is to attend a MANDATORY parent meeting for each magnet school that families will apply to. Monday, December 2 @5:30 p.m. at the Decatur Public Library is the first parent informational meeting with all three magnet school principals. The Decatur Turkey Tournament will return for its 54th year in 2024, with opening games on Tuesday and Wednesday and wrapping up on Friday and Saturday Stephen Decatur Middle School. Visit www.dps61.org/turkeytournament to view the tournament bracket.

REMINDER: All students attending games this week MUST ENTER WITH an adult.
For the safety of all attendees, prohibited items include: outside food or drink, illegal drugs, vapes of any kind, and weapons. Additionally, large purses and backpacks will NOT be permitted. ONLY clutch purses smaller than 6.5”x 4.5” or clear bags will be allowed in the venue. Diaper bags and medical bags are permitted but will be subject to search upon entry.
