Elect Ray F. Morris for Prec 1 County Commissioner

Wise County hasn't had a Long Range Comprehensive Planning or Economic Development Plan since 2006. It's time to revisit this issue. Local Comprehensive planning and Economic development is and should be one of the most important things we have come to expect from a County Commissioners Court in order to help secure the future of our communities Long Term. A Long Range Comprehensive and Economic Development Plan should provide examples of land use planning efforts undertaken by some of Wise County's rural and urban communities in support of economic development, including strategies to promote urban infill and redevelopment to sustain or revitalize urban core areas. When I am elected, I will be asking for our commissioners Court to establish a new and fresh Sub Committee to help advise us on what the needs of our community might be and start a plan consistent with those ideas that will improve and secure our future. I will help lend my expert advice on Emergency Management that will help identify potential problems that might occur as a result of a disaster and also my professional thoughts on the local projected mortgage fluctuations anticipated in the next few years to also help determine our future here in Wise County.
