Material Handler/Cycle Counter with Forklift Experience

Express Employment Professionals is a professional staffing company dedicated to helping local businesses find local people. We are currently recruiting for two Material Handlers for a Scottdale based manufacturing company.

The Material Handler/Cycle Counter is responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, storing and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, equipment, and cycle counting. They will operate material handling equipment to load and unload materials, transfer material and move materials within warehouse to pick orders and put away product. This position unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary. Lifts heavy items up to 50lbs throughout the day and may operate a forklift with proper certification. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Examines stocks and distributes materials in inventory to mechanical and electrical assembly manufacturing lines.

Must be willing to work in assembly and general warehouse during downtimes.

Qualifications:

2-4 years of Material Handling experience
Experience with Cycle Counting\
Knowledge of material handling procedures
Understand environmental health and safety requirements
Excellent computer skills
Word/Excel and Outlook experience
Strong organizational Skills
Valid Driver’s License
Must be able to comfortably lift 50 lbs
Must be certified or recently OSHA forklift certified
Must have an upbeat can-do attitude and a willingness to help other departments as needed

Preferred Additional Skills:

Hands-on with IQMS/Oracle preferred
Forklift certified with 2-4 years experience

6:00AM - 4:30PM Mon - Thurs
Friday - potential overtime

Electric Car Assembler (Mechanical) $18/hr. Temp to Hire

Express Employment Professionals is a professional staffing company dedicated to helping local businesses find local people. We are currently recruiting six (6) Mechanical Assemblers to work for a local company in the Clarkston and Scottdale area.

The Mechanical Assembler position will support daily operations for the assembly of industrial equipment. The position includes hands-on mechanical assembly with basic tools.

Duties will include perform equipment assembly, inspect the completed work for accuracy, packing, and shipping of the completed equipment, cleaning in downtime, and making pallets for shipping.

In addition, will support a safe, efficient, clean, and organized workplace and participate in process improvements.

Background/Qualifications:
Ability to read, understand and follow instructions to properly use shop routing sheets and to clock in and clock out of each operation
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of powered and non-powered hand tools, and mechanical assembly.
Basic ability to read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, construction and engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble the products
Ability to measure and use proper assembly techniques to ensure damage free installation of component parts
Factory/manufacturing experience
Have a good working knowledge of how to install and use fasteners
Demonstrated ability to properly rig parts for lifting for other assembly operations.
Understand how to install bearings and how to properly install and torque hardware.
Works well with a team
Communicate clearly and effectively
