Recapturing a dream
is hard.
It's a blessing, that now
is gone.
So I lay here, in quiet repose
searching for more than prose
to show this dream a Rose.
It's a beautiful sleepy morning
gray skies and light rain.
With me is this dream-like dawning
is serenaded
by the splattering of rain
on window sills.
Blessings on blessings
is granted.
My woes from the night before
now gone and healing pleasures
is the simple music
of light rain
drumming on leaves.
I smile good morning
to this new day
gray, wet and wonderful--
blessings on blessings.
