Stride Ahead Inc.

Stride Ahead celebrates a dedicated group of volunteers who are willing to come to the barn on short notice and hose off hot horses who have just come in from the pasture. This is when summer temperatures reach 95 or higher and after the horses are individually examined to see if they need cooling off. Recently Stride Ahead Program Manager, Pam, gave a training session on the safest and most efficient way to cool down horses. Thank you Stride volunteers for being willing to come to the barn and do this valuable service for our horses!

After each lesson our horses receive a nice treat given by the rider.  Part of the rider’s responsibility is to es**rt the horse back to their stall, get them settled in by removing their halter.  Many thanks to our rider and Stride Ahead volunteer for taking good care of Tigo.
