📢 Upcoming changes to Operation Uplift - Effective Saturday, March 1, 2025

We are excited to announce important service enhancements to our On-Demand Paratransit Program, Operation Uplift, designed to improve accessibility and streamline service! Key changes:

◾️ Same-Day Booking - Riders can now book trips with just a two-hour notice instead of the current 24-hour advance requirement. Call 217-424-2821 to book.

◾️ Expanded Operating Hours - Service hours will now align with our fixed-route transit schedule of Monday thru Friday 5:30 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 6:15 a.m. to 7:15 p.m.

◾️ Wider Service Area - Operation Uplift will now serve the following locations: corporate limits of Decatur, corporate Village limits of Forsyth, corporate Village limits of Mt. Zion.

◾️ Automatic Eligibility Approval - Riders will automatically receive a one-year conditional eligibility for the service. During this period, they must complete the necessary paperwork to maintain eligibility for paratransit service. Those who do not complete the process will be transitioned to our upcoming Microtransit system once launched.

These updates will enhance accessibility, improve convenience, and ensure a smoother transition to the upcoming Microtransit system!

Before you make your choice, make sure to call your providers to see if they will be accepting that insurance in the office for that plan year. Make sure to bring your insurance card to the first appointment with the new plan and any other information that the provider’s office requires.
