A safe place to sleep. Food on the table. People who care about us. A community where we belong.
Those are the basic things we all want, and homelessness reminds us how fragile they can be.
On Common Ground is a new initiative from Compassionate Atlanta and Commissioner Michelle Long Spears, bringing neighbors, faith communities, and service providers together to respond with shared responsibility instead of separate efforts.

At Compassionate Atlanta, we are working behind the scenes planning for CompassionCon 2026!
This is our 5th consecutive year of doing this! Can you believe it?

CompassionCon is Georgia's largest celebration of compassion in action. Join thousands of neighbors, nonprofits, artists, healthcare organizations, educators, businesses, and community leaders for a free, family friendly day of learning, connection, creativity, and service.
This year, explore interactive experiences focused on health, belonging, the environment, youth, peacebuilding, economic opportunity, animals, wellness, and so much more.
Because stronger communities begin with people who choose compassion.
