Our Friends just helped with the fantastic Creature Teacher events this past Wednesday, and it was a wonderful turnout! Your support can make a huge difference in so many ways—whether you're volunteering at our library events and book sales, or choosing to give a donation of any amount ($1 to $20+ goes a long way!).

We are excited to announce our 2025 recipient of the Sharon Herzberg Memorial Scholarship - Miss Hazel Puentes, a recent graduate from Slidell High School. Hazel is planning to pursue a degree to become a Radiologic Technologist. A first-generation college student, she has big plans, and we are proud to be supporting her journey. Congratulations, Hazel!

Tonight, the "Friends of the Decatur Public Library" met to discuss ways we can continue supporting the Decatur Public Library (Decatur, Texas), its programs, and the people it serves.

The library impacts lives every day through literacy programs, scholarships, children's activities, community events, and so much more. But it takes volunteers and supporters to help make those opportunities possible.
