It’s happening! Change that’s been needed!

- BIG NEWS! PCOS just got a new name.

As of today, published in The Lancet, the condition formerly known as polycystic o***y syndrome is officially polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS). It’s the result of a global consensus involving 14,360 patients and clinicians across 56 organizations.

This is a day many of us have anticipated for YEARS!

The old name was never accurate. Those “cysts” on the ultrasound were never cysts at all (they’re arrested follicles). And the name kept the condition locked inside gynecology, when the real story has always been so much bigger.

In my practice, I’ve never treated this as an o***y problem. I treat it as dysfunction across multiple Fertility Focus Zones — metabolic health, fertility hormones, inflammation, the nervous system, and the gut-fertility axis. The new name finally honors that truth.

This new name finally gives every clinician permission to do what functional medicine has been doing all along: address the underlying metabolic dysfunction first, and let the o***y respond.

Swipe through for what’s changing and why it matters!

Women’s Health Herbals I love to use
I often use supplement blends by Vitanica, Gaia or Wishgarden but a good tea blend makes me smile!

3 pictures to describe spring in my life.
My backyard is such a gift.
To have my own soil.
To know the history of it’s tearful surrender from the Native Americans who would have cared for it with respect.
To my sweat and money to build the soil and plant natives that all of nature can eat and shelter within.
It’s a meditation, a prayer, a workout, a fascia release.

Then summer comes and I don’t concern myself with it. Weeds grow. Tomatoes turn to jungles. My irrigation keeps it alive… and I’ll be in my Airstream somewhere else…

And that’s just what I do. Don’t come over expecting manicured food garden beds in the summer. It’s not about that for me.

I will sit with coffee in the morning and look at its wildness then.
