Friends of FUMC Decatur,

Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus! Due to the extreme likelihood of inclement weather and dangerous travel conditions, all worship services and other ministry events scheduled for this Sunday, Jan. 25th, have been canceled.

We believe that corporate worship and Christian community are absolutely essential to the life of believers; nonetheless, we believe the best way to love our neighbors in this case is to encourage one another to stay safely off of dangerous roads until the ice has cleared.

The planned reception for our retiring music ministry friends Lynda Trow, Kathy Sisk, and Michael Bond has been rescheduled for Sunday, Feb. 1st, at noon.

Stay safe, friends. Check on one another. Look out for one another. Above all, pray for the safety of all who are out in the cold.
