'The ship of my life': Sting talks the comeback of his musical The Last Ship, the first musical to be staged at New York's Metropolitan Opera, inspired by Sting's childhood growing up in the shadow of a shipyard.

🔵A summer blues jam for blues fans! We'll be hosting our monthly Blues Jam on Tuesday, July 28 from 1:00 PM to 2:15 PM. It'll be facilitated by Brad Gilmer, one of our harmonica teachers! If you play the Blues, sing the Blues, have ever been Blue, or even if you just like the color blue, this event is for you. All instruments and all levels are welcome. Don’t have an instrument? Yes, you do – bring your voice! We would love to hear you sing.

The basic plan — Our facilitator will kick things off with several simple 8-Bar or 12-Bar blues tunes. From there, we will ask if anyone has a Blues tune they want to share. (If you want to suggest a tune, please bring 15 copies of a lead sheet with lyrics.) All songs and tunes will be open for everyone to sing and play along.

This is not a class, but a simple chance for those that enjoy this genre of music, or who want to explore it, to have an opportunity to play with others with the same desire.
