Members of the Lawrence County RiverTown local leadership team attended the Anchored in Alabama event in Decatur this past Friday.
Celebrating a $750,000.00 investment helping to expand outdoor recreation, education, and small-business opportunities along the river. This collaborative effort of the Tennessee RiverLine, Innovate Alabama and the University of North Alabama has helped to bring 5 additional new fleets of kayaks to 5 North Alabama communities.
Lawrence County RiverTown was one of the communities to receive a fleet. Through this initiative big things are happening on the Tennessee River and Lawrence County is excited to be apart of it. Celebrating new investments that mean more ways for people to connect with the river, their communities, and one another.
