🐾 It's time to give the tabbies their moment in the spotlight. 🐾

This week, we're celebrating one of the most iconic coat patterns in the cat world: the tabby.

Things you may not know about tabbies:
• Tabby is a coat pattern, not a breed.
• Tabbies are the most common coat pattern found in domestic cats.
• Most tabbies have the famous "M" marking on their forehead.
• Tabbies can have stripes, swirls, spots, or ticked coats.
• Every tabby's markings are unique, like a fingerprint.
• Their personalities are every bit as unique as their patterns.

Whether you're a fan of classic swirls, tiger stripes, or cats with larger-than-life personalities, we've got a tabby for you.

Over the next several days, we'll be shining the spotlight on some of our striped stars and reminding everyone why tabbies have earned a special place in so many hearts. 🤎🐾

🐾 FREE DOG FOOD FOR FAMILIES IN NEED 🐾

Thanks to a generous donation from PetSmart, we have 9 bags of Nutrish dry dog food available for local dog families who could use a little help right now.

There is nothing wrong with this food. It is well within expiration dates. The bags were donated because the manufacturer updated the packaging and these were removed from store inventory.

🐶 Plus a few assorted dog treats that we'll add to each pickup while supplies last.

Please only claim a bag if you, or someone you designate, can pick up during the listed pickup window.

We are unable to hold bags outside the pickup window, arrange alternate pickup times, or provide delivery.

IMPORTANT:

• Limit one bag per household so we can help as many families as possible.
• We will post an individual photo of each bag in the comments.
• To claim a bag, reply directly under the photo of the bag you want.
• Claims made as general comments on this post will not be counted.
• If a bag already has a confirmed claimant, please choose another available bag.
• If you claim a bag and later find that you cannot pick it up, please let us know by replying to your claim comment (preferred) or sending us a message. Unclaimed bags may be offered to another family after the pickup window has ended.

Country Crock looks like the type of cat a children’s book would be written about. 🧡

Like somewhere out there, there should be a story about a tiny tabby girl who spends her days finding sunny spots, supervising snacks, and convincing everyone she meets to fall in love with her immediately.

She’s sweet without trying too hard about it. Cute without even noticing. And somehow always looks like she just heard the gentlest little piece of gossip.

Honestly, Country Crock feels less like “a cat up for adoption” and more like the cat someone’s been missing without realizing it yet. 🧡
