Why?

Brea$t milk is highly digestible, so there's very little waste left to pass.
After the first few weeks of life, some healthy brea$tfed babies may p00p only once every 3–7 days, and some even less often.
As long as the baby is:
Feeding well
Gaining weight normally
Passing soft stooIs when they do p00p
Comfortable and otherwise healthy
..this pattern is usually normal.

When to call the doctor

Contact your pediatrician if your baby:

Has a swollen or hard belly
V0mits repeatedly (especially green v0mit)
Has bIood in the stool
Passes hard, pellet-like stooIs
Seems very uncomfortable or refuses feeds
Hasn't passed meconium within the first 24–48 hours after birth (newborns)
