You can help protect your private lateral by:
1. Not planting trees near the lateral
2. Ensure drains are properly connected to the stormwater infrastructure
3. Keep clean out cap on & intact
4. Have an inspection by a licensed plumber

Typical issues on private laterals that allow Inflow & Infiltration to enter are broken or missing cleanout caps, cracked and/or aging pipes, tree roots growing into line, and much more. | |

On Mon. 6/8, DWM will begin the Buford Large Diameter Pipe Rehabilitation Project to install Cured in Place Pipe to rehabilitate aging . The project is expected to last 3 months from 7am-7pm, Mon-Fri. For more info email [email protected].

DWM has smoke-tested nearly 2/3 of the sewer system since 2017 with non-toxic, odorless smoke to pinpoint defects in sewer pipes that can lead to Inflow & Infiltration. | |
