I recently sent in a letter to the Dedham Times in support of Anthony Rodriguez!

I'm writing to support Anthony Rodriguez for School Committee. As a parent of a child in the public school system, it's especially important to me to elect someone with the right priorities to guide our school's leadership, budgets, and policies.

As the debate over replacing our elementary schools has shown, deferring infrastructure investment ends up costing the town more, both in tax dollars and in the quality of our childrens' education.

We've also recently learned about the budget shortfall that the Dedham Public Schools are facing for the 2025 fiscal year. Given inflation and increased student enrollment, the planned 8% budget increase will not be sufficient to maintain this year's level of services into next year. We need another strong advocate on the school committee to fight for what our teachers and students need to succeed.

I appreciate that Anthony's policy goals are clear and specific, so I know that his priorities are aligned with mine. Because of this, I can trust him to represent us as the schools tackle our current and future challenges!
