💙🧠June is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month 🧠💙
This month, we shine a light on the importance of men’s mental health and encourage open conversations about emotional well-being, stress, and seeking support.
Too often, men are taught to “tough it out” or keep their struggles to themselves. But mental health challenges are real, and when left unaddressed, they can sometimes lead to unhealthy coping methods, including substance use.
💬 Asking for help is not a sign of weakness—it’s a sign of strength.
At SCAN, we recognize the connection between mental health and substance use and are committed to providing:
âś… Mental health support and resources
âś… Substance use prevention and intervention services
âś… Confidential, judgment-free assistance
This week, let’s encourage the men in our lives to prioritize their mental health, check in with one another, and know that support is available.
đź’™ Strong enough to speak up. Strong enough to reach out.
🌱 Healing Is Possible
Mental health challenges and substance use struggles do not define you. With the right support, healing and recovery are possible.
This week, we want to remind our community:
✨ It’s okay to ask for help
✨ Recovery takes time—and that’s okay
✨ Every step forward matters
You are not alone. đź’›
💚🧠May is Mental Health Awareness Month 🧠💚
This month is a reminder that mental health is just as important as physical health—and it plays a major role in substance use and recovery.
Many individuals struggling with substance use are also facing challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, or stress. When mental health needs go unaddressed, the risk for substance misuse can increase.
That’s why early intervention matters. 💛
We are committed to:
âś… Supporting mental health and emotional wellness
âś… Providing substance use prevention and intervention services
âś… Offering resources for individuals and families
âś… Creating a safe, judgment-free space to seek help
💬 This May, let’s:
✨ Break the stigma around mental health
✨ Encourage open conversations
✨ Check in on one another
✨ Remind others that help is available
You don’t have to struggle in silence. Support, healing, and recovery are possible.
💠Stress Happens — Healthy Coping Matters
April is also Stress Awareness Month, reminding us how important it is to manage stress in healthy ways. Sometimes people turn to substances to cope, but there are safer ways to care for our mental health.
Healthy coping can include:
âś” Talking with someone you trust
âś” Physical activity or time outdoors
âś” Practicing relaxation or mindfulness
âś” Seeking professional support when needed
If stress feels overwhelming, support is available. You don’t have to face it alone. 💛
