She has performed in shows such as 1940s Radio Hour as Ann Collier, The Sound of Music as Mother Abbess, Much Ado About Nothing as Borachio, and many more.

Offstage, she is grounded by her favorite role—being a wife and mom. She and her husband share three wonderful children who inspire her creativity and drive. When she’s not performing or serving, Cheyenne loves camping, traveling, and exploring new places with her family.

Michael was born and raised in Minnesota and got his start in acting during his sophomore year of high school. He went on to perform in some small productions in Minneapolis before being scouted by a talent agency and moved to Los Angeles in 2010. Due to being in the Army Reserve, he couldn’t focus greatly on acting but has managed to keep involved with independent theatre and film acting.
Work has brought Michael to the Del Rio, TX area and, thus, to The Upstagers. He is thrilled to work with the local community theatre and the amazing, wonderfully talented cast and crew. To date, Michael’s most long-standing role has been acting like an adult.

Jake Hostetler discovered acting recently in life. To entertain his kids he would dress up for fun in interesting costumes, including George Washington--using trash bags as a wig. He progressed on from trash bag stardom to the real stage in his acting debut: starring as Drosselmeyer in The Nutcracker. He then continued on to star in many other plays and musicals, including The Addams Family, Barbecuing Hamlet, Four Weddings and an Elvis, and now as John Worthing in The Importance of Being Earnest. Jake's favorite parts to play are always the comedic relief (possible because that is his role in the real world), but he always has fun no matter what part he plays. He hopes you enjoy the show, and he can't wait to make you laugh today!

šŸŽ Meet the Cast!

Born and raised in Del Rio, Emilia’s love for performing began at a young age and has carried on throughout her life in many different forms. In middle school she participated in Mariachi choir and theater, and in high school she focused on film. She was also part of a local band and a dance group in AcuƱa that even competed in World of Dance Mexico. Eventually, she left for college to focus on her studies, where she kept up dancing on the side as a hobby.

After returning from school, Emilia found her way back to the stage with The Upstagers, where audiences may have seen her in previous shows such as The Addams Family, Waiting for Godot, and Assisted Living. She looks forward to sharing the joy of live theater with audiences once again and is thrilled to bring her energy and passion to the role of the Honorable Gwendolen Fairfax in The Importance of Being Earnest.

šŸŽ Meet the Cast!
Holten Rose: Merriman, Manservant

My name is Holten Rose, and I’m 19 years old. This is my first full stage production, and it’s an incredibly exciting experience for me. Ever since I was young, I’ve dreamed of becoming an actor, so having the opportunity to be part of this show means a great deal.

I initially didn’t know about the play, but once someone mentioned it to me, I started wondering if I might be able to participate — either on stage or helping behind the scenes. I decided to audition, and to my surprise, I was cast in the show!

I’m very grateful and excited to be part of this production and to work with such a wonderful team. I’d also like to thank our director, Chris Wofford, for giving me this opportunity.t

šŸŽ Meet the cast šŸŽ
Caylee Shelton: Miss Prism, Governess

Originally hailing from Illinois, Caylee came to Del Rio and enjoyed it so much that she stayed. A longtime lover of theater, she was active on stage throughout high school, bringing characters to life in many productions such as Amy in Little Women, Little Red Riding Hood in Into the Woods, Grace Fryer in Radium Girls, and Gabriella in High School Musical.

This marks her fourth production with the Upstagers, after starting with 13 Ways to Screw Up Your College Interview as part of the Fred Brockwell Memorial Gala, then carrying on in The Addams Family, and taking a leading role in last year’s Waiting for Godot.

Caylee is thrilled to continue doing what she loves in such a welcoming theater community, and she’s delighted to step into the very sensible shoes of Miss Prism in this production.
