DISTINGUISHED U.S. PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARS PROGRAM RECOGNIZES 2025 DRHS GRADUATE

Recent graduate and Class of 2025 Salutatorian, Amanda Emmanuelle Ong, has been named a U.S. Presidential Scholar in Career and Technical Education. Being named a U.S. Presidential Scholar is considered one of the nation’s most prestigious academic awards for high school graduates.

U.S. Secretary Of Education, Linda McMahon, announced the names of the 2025 class of U.S. Presidential Scholars last Friday. This year’s group, the 61st in the program’s history, consisted of 161 outstanding high school seniors, who were selected for their accomplishments in academics, the arts, and career and technical education fields as well as for commitments to community service and leadership.

Amanda is one of only 20 students nationwide selected to receive the prestigious U.S. Presidential Scholar in Career and Technical Education. She is currently attending the University of Texas at Austin majoring in mechanical engineering with a minor in robotics. On behalf of the San Felipe Del Rio CISD Board of Trustees, the Superintendent of Schools, and the entire SFDRCISD family, we congratulate Amanda for her incredible academic achievement and for receiving such a great recognition!

4063 won the 2nd place safety award at the FIRST in Texas Championship!!! Congrats and shoutout to our OUTSTANDING safety star, Kendall!

Del Rio High School – Career and Technical Education Robotics is competing on the Milstein Field at the FRC Robotics World Championship. Qualification matches will take place on Thursday and Friday. Go Bunnies!

Championship matches will take place on Saturday. There are 600 teams competing from around the world in eight different fields.
