PSA: Giving Your Child Their First Smartphone This Holiday Season?

As you hand them the phone, take a moment to write a note and place it in the empty box. In the note, list all the activities your child currently enjoys—things they love doing before they have a smartphone.

Set a reminder to review the list together in six months. How many of those activities does your child still want to do?

For many parents, the answer is eye-opening: screen time often replaces other hobbies and interests in just a short amount of time. Stay proactive and mindful about how devices shape your child’s time and interests.

It’s much easier to delay the addiction than it is to stop once it is started.

We are ready to welcome our Falcons back on campus on Monday!

Gates will open at 7:15 for morning supervision. Please do not drop students off prior to 7:15 am. Be sure to pull all the way forward in the car loop before letting your child out and remain in your vehicle.

We have two entrances for morning arrival and afternoon dismissal – the South one is for buses and staff, and the North one is for parents dropping off and picking up students. Parents may not enter the bus loop to drop off or pick up students. *The exception to this is our Pre-K families who will have a specific car tag to let them through.

Once students arrive, our staff will guide them to breakfast or one of our supervised morning holding areas. Breakfast and lunch will be free again this school year!

**Only Kindergarten parents will be allowed to walk their child to their holding area on their staggered start day. Kindergarten parents who would like to walk their child in will need to first visit the front office and sign in to Raptor.

The first bell will ring at 7:45 am and the tardy bell will ring at 7:50 am. Students will be dismissed at 2:30 pm each day, except for Early Release Wednesdays, when we dismiss at 1:30 pm.
