At JOL we love our pal Jon Eshelman! The leader of the JET is masterful at the piano. Jon is a Delaware resident who is well know throughout central Ohio for incredible swinging music! His most recent album “Too Many Things All At Once Blues” is a wonderful description of his playing that speaks for itself.

Jon was last seen on the JOL stage with the Pete Mills 4tet in 2025. Join us as we jam with the JET ✈️ tomorrow!

There is not enough time or space to talk about this man. Zach Compston is the face of jazz education in Columbus. He serves as the director of education for Columbus Jazz (formerly Jazz Arts Group of Columbus). He works relentlessly as an educator, a communicator, a community planner, a performer, and a father.

He is second to none in our book and we know you will be engaged with his style of drumming! Zach was last seen on the JOL stage in 2025 with his Zach Compston Big Band.

Up first is the Jon Eshelman Trio’s (JET ✈️ ) Bassist. This week, Jon is bringing in his pal Bradley Mellen.

Brad is an outstanding musician who plays in a style some where between Victor Wooten and Jaco Pastorious. His groove is second to none and his musicality will have your jaw on the floor the whole night!

Brad was last seen on the JOL stage in 2024 with CLAVE SONIC.
