I had a very good and productive meeting this evening with Tyler Frederick for Clerk of the Delaware Municipal Court, who had excellent answers to hard questions about how he would manage the Municipal Court for Delaware County. He has clearly done his research on its operations and ways it can be improved and streamlined, and I am confident that he will do an excellent job in the role if elected.

A reminder that a Memorial Day ceremony takes place this morning at 10 am at Oak Grove Cemetery, 334 S. Sandusky Street. The ceremony in the Soldiers West section of the cemetery is being organized by local Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1095. It will include a flag presentation, speeches, the playing of “Taps,” and a rifle and cannon volley. The group asks attendees to please bring a lawn chair.

Also, City offices are closed today and there are no curbside collections. Crews will operate on the “next day” collection schedule for the week, beginning Tuesday, May 27, through Saturday, May 31. Questions concerning the schedule may be directed to the Customer Service Request Line, 740-203-1810.
