Today we celebrate Juneteenth!
This national holiday commemorates the abolishment of enslaved African Americans in the United States.
The Emancipation Proclamation was issued on January 1st, 1863 by President Abraham Lincoln to free those who were in slavery. However, it wasn’t until June 19th that the proclamation reached those who were enslaved in Texas. Thus coining the day as Juneteenth.
We are thankful for freedom!
God is doing something... There is an outpouring of His Spirit... He is coming closer and asking us to come closer to Him. I encourage you to pray and worship along with these services as you are able.
