For one weekend, Delhi's Courthouse Square became an emergency communications hub as local amateur radio operators spent 24 straight hours proving that ham radio is far more than a hobby.
From making contacts with Italy, Puerto Rico and even the International Space Station to preparing for floods, power outages and other disasters, these volunteers are helping ensure Delaware County has a communications lifeline when it matters most.
