Comcast has opened a new Xfinity Store in South Philadelphia, expanding its retail presence in the city while announcing a $5,000 grant to support small business programming through the Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia.

The new store, located in Whitman Plaza at 330 Oregon Ave., is Comcast's sixth Xfinity retail location within the city and the first in South Philadelphia.

Company officials marked the opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held in partnership with the Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia.

"The Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia is pleased to celebrate Comcast's latest investment in the city with the opening of their new South Philadelphia Xfinity Store," said Solomon Kim, board chair of the Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia.
