Congratulations to the 57 Ocean team for their recent achievement of LEED Gold certification under v4 New Construction. This luxury residential high rise in Miami Beach excelled in the implementation of sustainability strategies within the transportation, water reduction, energy, and materials categories just to mention a few.

The building will be realizing energy savings with the use of LED lighting and LUTRON controls in most common areas, as well as by using a cooling tower with water source heat pumps. TESLA EV chargers will be available for use in the garage. The design focused on connectivity with the outdoors and provides ample open spaces. Occupants can expect optimal levels of indoor air quality via the use of MERV 13 filters and advanced CO2 sensors. This building is proof that when goals are integrated as part of the vision of the project, luxury can be sustainably attained.

We are excited to share our latest video production, featuring the soon to be completed “Registry Las Olas" luxury high-rise. We met with Lincoln Property Company to discuss the sustainability and wellness features blended into the design and construction of this new Fort Lauderdale landmark.

In this video we sit with LPC’s Manuel Puccini to discuss the integration of building performance concepts, features, implementation and verification along with how we developed cloud-based communication technology to streamline information flow and accessibility.

This week world leaders have come together for in Glasgow, Scotland to discuss challenges and solutions to the ongoing climate crisis. Although we are not able to be there in person, we are definitely there in spirit!

It is exciting to see the drive and innovation coming from many of our local leaders, including Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, who has set forth some very ambitious goals for the county.

A bulk of our portfolio exists within the Miami-Dade region, so it is incredibly important for us to have an impactful climate action strategy in place to follow that will benefit all communities we work in. Needless to say we are looking forward to what outcomes and innovative ideas come from in Glasgow, Germany.

Below is a snap shot from the county's Climate Action Strategy & the main goals associated with emissions, electricity and fuel reduction:

Achieve 80% community-wide emissions reduction by 2050 from baseline year of 2008.

Reduce the consumption of gasoline in County operations by 30% and the consumption of diesel fuel in County operations by 70% from the baseline year of 2016 by 2028 and further move toward conversion of the County’s fleet to electric vehicles.

Reduce electricity usage for County facilities by 20% from the baseline year of 2009 by 2025.

Incorporate green building practices into the design of County facilities and infrastructure (Sustainable Buildings Program).

Have 30% of county-wide energy obtained from solar by 2030 with the ultimate goal of achieving zero emissions for county-wide energy sources
