Spent our 4th out in the community and now, we’re plopped on the couch 🇺🇸

It was actually so nice to be out in the community. I’ve worked from home most of my career and really only worked in an office at the very beginning. And if you know me, you know events are not really my thing but I was so happy I decided to do this one!

No, we didn’t do spot pre-approvals but we had real conversations with families in our community today.

Met families just starting to think about buying.

Met a food truck owner who wants to buy and is considering a bank statement loan.

Met a couple who wants to sell and buy another house but worried about selling and not finding something soon enough. Talked to them about a Bridge loan and they felt so much relief.

Met a family from the UK with a vacation home here but looking for another.

Met a realtor from Puerto Rico looking for a lender who can help there.

That’s the stuff that reminds me why I love what I do.

And I’m not going to pretend everything is easy right now. People are tired. Money feels tighter for a lot of us. We don’t all agree on much these days and nobody really knows what the next few years look like. I feel it too, some days more than others.

But days like today remind me… we’re still lucky. Lucky to gather, to celebrate, to have neighbors stop by a booth just to talk instead of scroll past each other. Lucky to live somewhere that, even when it’s messy, is still worth showing up for.

Grateful for every single person who stopped by today.

This guy messaged and says:

“Good evening, I’m at sea heading toward Europe. I would like to start a refinance to consolidate some debt. Let me know how I can help speed it along.”

That was it. That’s what I got 😂 but sure enough, we did it! We got to help him pay off a good chunk of debt with the crazy equity he has in his home and we did it within a month, while he was on his Euro Summer Tour!

But underneath all the tattoos, workouts, coffee, dogs, plants, and organized chaos, there’s something these sketches reminded me of:

We’re all more than our job titles.

For a long time, I thought success meant being available 24/7, always working, always pushing for the next goal. What I’ve learned is that boundaries and balance don’t make you less dedicated—it makes you better.

The best version of me for my clients is the version that takes care of herself too. ✨

The version that spends time refilling her cup so she can keep showing up for others.

Because behind every loan is a real person and family.

A family trying to create stability.
A first-time buyer chasing a dream.
A couple starting a new chapter.
Someone taking a huge leap of faith.

Helping people become homeowners isn’t just what I do—it’s what I genuinely love. I get a front-row seat to some of the biggest milestones in people’s lives, and that’s something I’ll NEVER take for granted.

So here’s your reminder that it’s okay to have a life outside of work. In fact, I think it makes us better at what we do!
