Contrast in Haircolor - when doing haircolor it's important to know where and how to apply contrast. You could add the contrast needed to achieve a certain look, but in the wrong place and the dimension won't pop. You could also add contrast at the wrong time when someone is looking for a softer look.
This is a great example of well used contrast in the right places. One of my biggest lessons I teach in haircolor and life is "without darkness you cannot see the light" AMEN

Mens Color - When doing men's haircolor, the result should always be natural, sticking with a neutral, natural, or ash tone is a good idea. Asking questions like "what was your haircolor like as child" or "what kind of highlights would you typically get in the summer when younger" can be helpful in achieving a flattering look and tone, that no one would automatically think was colored.
