After Yes

Ok, story time! It was peak Covid in the City. We had been engaged for 4 months but were caught in trying to think about a wedding vs. the paralyzing unknown of the world (and of course, our wedding not mattering much when there was a global pandemic!!)

We wanted to do something fun and celebratory to continue the love and excitement despite not having a clue about a venue, date, country (lollll). You get it. Enter engagement pics!

I quickly order a bunch of outfits that I haven’t worn since ☠️ and we hit the empty nyc streets to take some shots and have a ball, masks and all.

One of my looks I wanted to do was a nod to the epic parent trap bridal photo shoot scene with none other than Elizabeth James! While a lot of these looks are no longer “in” I absolutely loved it at the time!!

& there’s my advice for the day: 1) find little ways celebrate throughout your engagement season 2) go with what you like! Timeless style is always classy but don’t be afraid of a trend here and there… after all your memories will be just that… memories !!
