Delta First Responders

Two vehicle wreck on I-20 East Bound on the Bridge at the 188.4 Mile marker on the construction area.
Police are on scene. Drive even more cautious through this area while first responders work to get this cleared up.

Delta Marshal David Beckham has been talking back & fourth with DOTD all throughout the day about the lane closure. DOTD will be picking all the cones on the East Bound side of the MS River bridge in the next few hours. The bridge will operate as normal with both lanes throughout the weekend. Please keep in mind that it will go back to one lane after this weekend to continue repairs on the bridge. Also, be advised that most of the repairs are being done to under part of the bridge, which is why you aren’t seeing workers or equipment. It will still take a short time after both lanes are opened before traffic will flow.

8:35 Update: We still have water coming to Delta. Just be aware that we may lose water at some point tonight.

Walnut Bayou has a large water leak. Water to Delta will be turned off at 8pm until further notice. We are sorry for the inconvenience, we will update everyone when Walnut Bayou has found & fixed the leak.
