Michael Connelly is a favorite Florida author.

His character Harry Bosch loves jazz and mentions this young saxophonist, Grace Kelly, in the book The Burning Room. (Page 74 in the paperback I'm reading.

All of the artists mentioned are real. Pretty cool.

Next Chapter Book Club is a program designed for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Oftentimes when these individuals age out of school their social world can become very small. NCBC provides this population with community and socialization.

The books that are read are written on a 3.5 reading level, use large type, and lots of white space making them physically easier to read. Although simple words are used the stories are written for adult readers.

The Friends of Deltona Library are pleased to sponsor this program with training and materials. Stay tuned for more news as a start date gets closer to implementation.
