Last night in her State of the State address, Gov. Kay Ivey announced her commitment to seeing through a project that has been talked about since the 60s and 70s—expanding US Hwy 43 to 4-lanes from Thomasville to Tuscaloosa. We could not be more excited for the impact this expansion will have on our economic development as it makes our area even more accessible. I'm appreciative of the Governor's leadership and her commitment to the Black Belt—the area she, too, calls home. Thank you Gov. Ivey!

First of all, thank you.

Thank you for your front porch visits after a long day of work. Thank you for stopping me on the golf cart around town. Thank you for your words of motivation. But most of all, thank you for your trust.

Today, you spoke loud and clear. Given the choice, you chose experience. You chose the candidate who committed to go to work full-time, just like ALL of Demopolis deserves.

Congrats to Aliquippa Allen, who ran a great campaign.

Also, congrats to David McCants who won City Council District 3 tonight. I look forward to working with the entire city council, and commit to you the same tenacity and diligence with which I have served in my roles in the past.

Now, let’s get to work!
