DMRDC is requesting that St. Helena Parish citizens become actively engaging with this year's Halloween Trick or Treating festivities on,
October 31, 2017
Beginning @ 6pm-8pm.
The Consortium begs to ask residents throughout the St Helena Parish area to rekindle, rejuvenate, reinvent, and actively participate in this year's Halloween trick-or-treating!

This Celtic holiday stem from their belief that there was a thin division between the dead and the living. They therefore utilized Halloween as a way of frightening off the dead spirits. Desperately hoping the dead spirits won't try to reside among the living.
The ancient Celtics rejoiced and anticipated the following religious holiday of "All Saints Day" is a celebration that honors the souls of those who presumed to have entered into the Kingdom of Heaven.

The pagan holiday of Halloween was an attempt at containing the spirits of the dead; while

would remain within their confounds in the 19th Century

are asking that adults actively distribute safe treats for children in their various communities.

Despite your religious beliefs, this holiday is utilized as a kid friendly event. Whereby the kids can transform themselves into anything they may wish to be. While gathering sweet treats that are safe and free of any dangerous ingredients that may harm any kid who eats your treats.

DMRDC is asking that neighborhoods within the St Helena Parish become more diligent in their effort to provide a wholesome and often anticipated by kids; the opportunity to have a pleasant Halloween Trick or Treating event.

Let us began this year becoming more committed to having our children enjoy a special event like receiving treats from their neighbors. Just as we once did as kids.

Oftentimes kids from St Helena Parish are forced Togo to Livingston Parish for Trick or Treating because NOBODY IN ST HELENA PARISH IS GIVING OUT CANDY!!!!
Shame on us for allowing to simple yet magical time in a child's life go the void of caring and participating by the grown ups in their community.

This Halloween, will deeply miss Albert Jr. Watson, particularly for his annual haunted trail ride through the woods and returning to have a costume contest and dance for youngsters. Due in large part because of his absence is more the rationale for choosing to follow in his attempt to have something special for the children of our community.

We in the Dennis Mills community will be hosting our 2nd Annual Tailgating Trick or Treating event. Simply put, we park our cars close to the street, while having cookouts for adults attending and providing our children with hefty amounts of treats.

We also decorate our yards and vehicles with Halloween decorations for more authentic settings.

DMRDC IS ASKING ALL COMMUNITIES IN ST HELENA PARISH PARTICIPATE THIS COMING HALLOWEEN 🍬🍭🌭🍔🤹🏾‍♂️🇺🇸.

DMRDC is hosting its 1st Annual Bike Ride, ATV & Trail Ride Show on June 17, 2017. Entrance into this event will be $3.00 for bikers, $5.00 for ATV Riders & $10.00 for Trail Riders. All proceeds will go toward updating and remodeling the current Dennis Mills Ballpark. Stay posted to the updates.

Dear Ms. Gray,

Thank you for contacting me about the executive appointments process for the incoming Trump Administration. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts with me.

Who a president chooses to lead federal agencies can impact every single one of us, and I believe the president has the responsibility to appoint men and women best suited to carry out the will of the American people and who will have our best interest behind their decisions. The President of the United States has the authority to designate thousands of appointments. Under Article II, Section 2, Clause 2 of the U.S. Constitution, approximately 1200 of these appointments require confirmation before the U.S. Senate – including cabinet secretaries and other senior leaders. In an effort to best represent South Louisiana, I have taken advantage of opportunities to weigh in with the Senate on appointments. As you know, the U.S. Constitution does not provide the authority for the U.S. House of Representatives to consider these nominations independently.

Not all appointments require Senate confirmation - particularly those chosen to serve on the president’s personal staff are left to his discretion. That being said, our priority is to ensure that everyone being considered to serve in the Administration has the professional and ethical qualifications deserving of such an appointment. I intend to continue to work closely with Louisiana’s U.S. Senators Cassidy and Kennedy to ensure that these qualifications are met for all executive appointments approved by the Senate.

Thanks again for sharing your views. As future nominations and appointments are announced, please feel free to contact me.

My job is to represent you, which works best when we are communicating. So, let's continue the conversation. Visit garretgraves.house.gov to subscribe to my newsletter, "Like" Congressman Garret Graves on Facebook or call one of my offices for more information.
