A Christmas Hymn of Worship

In Bethlehem's manger, a Babe softly lies,
The Word made flesh beneath starlit skies.
We worship Thee, Jesus, from cradle so humble,
To Calvary's cross where Thy blood made us whole.

Thou hung in our place, bore the weight of our shame,

Yet death could not hold Thee—alive in Thy name!
The tomb lies empty, hell's gates torn apart,
The grave conquered fully by Thy risen heart.
Our sins, once like scarlet, now whiter than snow,
Forgiven completely when to Thee we bow.
We turn from the fire, from the darkness and dread,
Accepting Thy mercy—Thy precious blood shed.
No more endless weeping, no sickness or pain,
No shadow of evil shall ever remain.

An eternity waits where joy overflows,
Unspeakable glory that only heaven knows.
On this December twenty-fifth, we rejoice,
Celebrating Thy birthday with heart and with voice.
We honor Thee, Savior, through love shown to all—
Peace on earth ringing, goodwill to men call.

Glory to God in the highest above,

Our King forever, incarnate in love!
