We love hearing stories like this from our customers especially when the whole county is talking about the results!
Bruce Springer, a first-time Gotcha Plus grower, recently shared some photos and told us:
“We planted Gotcha Plus on two different fields and were happy with both, but the field I’m sending pictures of... the whole county was talking about it.”
That field sits right off the highway across from the cattle auction in Gatesville, TX and it got noticed fast. Even the county USDA rep reached out:
“He said this was the best crop in Coryell County!”
Bruce picked up his Gotcha Plus Hybrid Sorghum Sudangrass from CB Feedlot, and he nailed the setup:
✅ Planted at the right rate
✅ Applied 200 lbs of liquid fertilizer (plowed in)
✅ Ran a roller behind the planter
And here’s the kicker:
“As tall as it was, it never headed out.”
This was Bruce’s first season using Gotcha Plus and the results speak for themselves.
Big thanks to Bruce and CB Feedlot for helping turn heads in Coryell County!

Back in April, one of our awesome partners shared this about SunGrazer Plus and we just came across it (yes, we’re late to the party… but hey, good grass doesn’t go out of style)
Thanks for the shout out and if you’ve planted SunGrazer Plus this season, we’d love to hear how it’s doing!
Improved varieties give improved results.
SunGrazer Plus has improved bermudagrass varieties that were selected for their cold and drought tolerance, durability and high forage production, even in the first year planted.
Contains: RSF001 (Also known as R6WLCV, the new rising star in forage bermudagrass varieties!), Chilly Verde and Giant Bermudagrasses. There is no Common Bermudagrass in this blend.
Plant after soil temperatures warm up to 65º to 70ºF in the spring. Plant 8-12 lbs per acre.
Broadcast the seed, then drag lightly or use a roller to press the seed in the ground. Be sure that the seed is no more than 1/4 inch deep.

Lunchtime gossip today is.. why are planting depths so important?
We ran a small experiment using Iron & Clay cowpeas and browntop millet to demonstrate. Through planting seeds at these depths, too shallow, and too deep, there were different things noticed.
The recommended planting depths are:
- iron & clay cowpeas (1-2 inches)
- browntop millet (1⁄4 - 1⁄2 inches).
When seeds are planted at their optimal planting depth, they are protected underground which gives the sprouts time to establish before emerging. They also can form that strong root
structure, ensuring optimum growth habitats.
When placed too shallow, stems are going to be exposed too early, which limits root development and structural stability.
If placed too deep, they may struggle to break through the soil efficiently. That extra effort will delay growth.
Moral of the story—proper planting depth isn’t just a suggestion—it’s KEY to strong, healthy plants. Follow the recommendations and set your seeds up for success!
