In coordination with the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM), the University of North Texas will conduct its monthly Eagle Alert test on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 10:00 AM as part of a statewide emergency alert system test.

Although UNT is conducting the test at 10:00 AM, please note that the statewide test window runs from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM. During this period, individuals may receive multiple alerts from different jurisdictions; this is expected as part of the coordinated regional test.

As a reminder, the Denton Community Shelter operated by Our Daily Bread will continue its expanded capacity for overnight guests seeking shelter from the cold whenever the wind chill is 32 degrees or below.
