This letter is to officially announce my candidacy for the 9th District Vice President of the International Association of Fire Fighters. I am starting my campaign by reaching out to you, my colleagues, to ask for your endorsement and support in this effort.

I have been passionately involved in the Union movement throughout my 33 years in the fire service. I was first elected as Secretary/Treasurer for the West Metro Fire Fighters L-1309 in 1997, I served in that position until 2005 when I was elected by acclamation as President serving until 2017. While I was serving L-1309, I was elected to Trustee of the Colorado Professional Fire Fighters in 2004. I then was elected as Secretary/Treasurer of the CPFF by acclamation in 2012 and I have served as President of the CPFF since 2017.

I am proud to say over the years I have been fortunate to develop friendships with members all over the 9th District and IAFF. These collaborative relationships have brought discussions and ideas forward resulting in significant Legislative improvements in Colorado to Collective Bargaining, Heart and Circulatory Malfunctions, Cancer, Wellness and Pension Benefits. At the Local level, we are always working together to improve Financial Security, Benefits and Safety of our members.
