It's Motivation Mama Monday! This is the day of the week I feature a smokin bad ass woman that inspires me. Today in honor of MLK day I am featuring a man and a few women. I am sure you can all agree that his grace, wisdom, courage, and bravery changed the world. There is so much more work to be done. I pray we can find a way together to get to the other side. Thank you Mr. King for all that you sacrificed to advance humanity to a better place. Someday I hope we make you proud.

I am also including some amazing black women who have done and are doing, incredible things and deserve to be recognized. Some of them are not as well known.

MLK quote that seems fitting this week. I see this quote and think "Boats" as in beliefs, upbringing, countries of origin, families. We are indeed all in the same boat. May we quite spinning in circles and row together.

Just below Mr. King Jr., Maya Angelou. I think it's perfect that Angel is in her name. Her wisdom and poetry will haunt and inspire me for all my days. Upper right corner is the beautiful resilient Misty Copeland. Copeland became the first African American woman to be promoted to principal dancer in American Ballet Theater's 75-year history. Encore! Encore! Just below her is the incredible Wangari Maathai. The first black woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. She is an environmentalist and an activist and I love her quote! WOW I feel that now so much. And of course the iconic Condoleezza Rice. A Civil Servant, a professor at Stanford, a diplomat and a political scientist. I love that if ever there was a wall she broke it down and if a ceiling she broke through it.

I raise my glass to you all today. And to all of the amazing, women in the world rising up to places we fear to go. Leading the charge, living the fullness of their beautiful minds and spirits. May you be ever revered and honored for your contributions to humanity.
