Caregiver Conversation with Dalyce Wilson and her father, Howard!

Dalyce is a Black-Indigenous photographer, writer and multimedia artist based in San Diego. She was diagnosed with T1D at the age of 7 and has spent the last 22 years, dismantling the stigmas and stereotypes of living with this chronic illness. Wilson received her BA in Writing from the University of Pittsburgh, and then lived abroad in Northern Ireland to receive her MFA in Photography. After her Master's course, she spent three years living in Thailand, traveling, teaching English and doing commissioned photography work. She returned to the USA in 2020 and started her business Blackbird Multimedia where she takes on commissioned writing, photography, videography and artistic projects.
