Top Paw K9 Academy is looking for reliable, motivated team members to join our Denver Dog Day Camp.

We are currently hiring for:

• Dog Day Camp Handler
• Field Trip Staff

Responsibilities may include supervising dog groups, leading pack walks and structured activities, taking dogs on public outings and field trips, and helping dogs learn how to settle, play appropriately, and enjoy a balanced day.

Dog training experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. Applicants must be comfortable working with dogs of all sizes, staying active throughout the day, and working in a fast-paced environment.

These last several weeks have honestly been some of the hardest mentally. Not being able to walk, train dogs the way I normally do, or do the things that have been part of my everyday life for years has hit me harder than I expected. Physically, healing is one thing. Mentally… that’s been a whole different battle.

There were days I felt frustrated. Days I felt useless. Days I just cried.

But I also realized I had two choices: sit in that feeling, or pour my energy into something I could control.

So… I guess I got bored. 😂

Instead of being able to physically build dogs, I started building the future of Top Paw K9 Academy.

And somehow that turned into completely reimagining the business.

We’re completely redoing our Denver location and opening The Top Paw K9 Academy Ranch on 140 acres in Keenesburg, where all of our Board & Train programs, boarding, seminars, and much more will now take place.

Our Denver location is becoming something completely new: Denver Dog Day Camp; a structured, adventure-based program with play groups, pack walks, field trips, enrichment, recall practice, and so much more.

None of this was part of the plan a couple of months ago.

But looking back… I honestly don’t think any of it would’ve happened if I hadn’t been forced to slow down.

Sometimes life has a funny way of pushing you exactly where you’re supposed to go.

BUT…I wouldn’t recommend breaking your leg as a business strategy🩶

Beginning September 1, our Denver location will transition to Denver Dog Day Camp and Private Lessons, while Board & Train (+ everything else) moves to our new ranch in Keenesburg, 40 min from Denver!
